Jocelyn Johnson
Certified Natural Wellness Practitioner

Since I can remember, conventional western medicine has been the preferred method to combat illness. I was raised in a medical environment with a surgeon father and a pediatrician/child psychiatirst mother. My brother is in pharmaceuticals and I have several aunts/uncles in the traditional medical fields. I do not remember a time in my life where medicine was not at the forefront. Over the years, I came to see that unless treatment is part of a holistic approach, allopathic methods merely target relief of the symptoms, rather than their cause. People feel better for a short time as symptoms subside, but they revert back to sickness as the same symptom reoccurs or another one appears. Once the body, lifestyle, environment are seen as a whole, true healing begins.

I graduated from Chapman University in Southern California with a degree in communications. For over two decades, I worked marketing the healthcare, nutritional and foodservice industries. From an insider's point, I can testify that these industries are "big business." They are well-oiled machines greased by the repetitive cogs of illness and hopes of eternal youth. As an industry, healthcare is caught up in it's own mechanistic illusion of treatment. It does little to truly understand the holistic needs of humans...of individuals. However, I believe there is a symbiosis between alternative and traditional medicine and I see more and more professionals in the traditional medical fields believing the same. This is the future - COMPLIMENTARY MEDICINE.  A balance not driven by bottom line greed.

Through the years, I experienced my own personal healing with the assistance of alternative methods. The search for "connection" was the catalyst for becoming a healer. I am a graduate in the areas of Herbalism and Natural Wellness through the Clayton College of Natural Health. I am also a certified practitioner of Reiki and Sound Healing. I have taken numerous courses and attended several conferences on alternative healing. I continue to learn from non-traditional healers as well as professionals in alternative therapies. I teach my knowledge of the healing arts at circles and retreats and continue to expand the "creative" healing methods of dance and drumming where I go.

I believe I have been successful because I found a way to combine alternative modalities into very effective, personal sessions. Through innate abilities, I am able to perceive/intuit, transform and correct energies in someone's body and energy field. As this "balancing" takes place, they are able to heal themselves more effectively.

The healings work on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body of the person to create balance and restore wellness. I primarily work on the subtle energy level with Vibrational modalities. This affects the outward symptoms as well.

The advice and therapy I provide are NOT "medical" in their nature as I am not a medical professional. I am a healer practicing complimentary alternative medicine. This is my service to all. This is my LIGHTWORK.

NAMASTE
