Fear
A Catalyst For Healing

One need not be a chamber to be haunted;
One need not be a house;
The brain has corridors surpassing
Material place.

Emily Dickenson

There are only 2 forces at work in the Universe. As opposed to what you have been "taught," It's not GOOD vs. BAD. It is LOVE and FEAR.
Love and Fear are real energies...the primary forces in the universe. The more intense the circumstance of fear is with you, the more obvious choices will become available to you. If you are in Fear, you will have the opportunity to "choose." You will either fear it or love it.
The secret to experiencing Love instead of Fear is recognizing that "everything comes down to this simple CHOICE." IF IT IS NOT LOVE, IT IS FEAR! With all the things that feel like they are happening TO you, with all the things you refuse to accept, with all the things that you would choose to experience - there is true power in realizing that you ALWAYS choose between Love and Fear.

Remember...choices can always change and always be forgiven.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the willful engagement of fear, and the choice you make to proceed in the presence of the fear. Think of a time in your life you acted courageously. Think of the moment you made the "CHOICE" to do so. What did you learn?

Focus on being Okay — regardless of the lover leaving you, or the bank foreclosing, or the blood test coming back positive. There is a thin line between “being okay” and pessimism - expecting the worst, drawing it to you, and creating self-fulfilling negative prophecies.

Remember that whatever you choose to believe, you will eventually be right...you will eventually draw that to you. Pessimism allows you to be right about everything going wrong.

When you focus on being okay, no matter what happens, you are creating an affirmation that external circumstances do not determine or control your inner peace and strength. You are not defined by the problems you find yourself in the middle of.

Many of us cannot see that. We begin to take to heart thoughts like “I’ll just die if the Thing I fear comes to pass.” By doing so, we literally "bring it on."

I tell people all the time that your life can be made better by the things that break your heart. The pain will be a catalyst for growth and wisdom and if you choose to do so...you will come out with a greater sense of love. This cannot happen if you get sucked in by the pain...by the fear, and shut out the process of growth.

It is not easy to tell yourself that for you may be feeling "how I will ever survive, or why this is happening to me?" You will find out by experiencing it. You will come out the other side of it. You will find a way to be okay. Then, you will find a way to use it either productively or non-productively. The choice is always yours.

Walk bravely to meet your fear with your eyes open. Know that it will teach you and that highest wisdom is found with experience.

Ask yourself if you are playing the victim? Why? Do you want to continue engaging yourself in an energy-draining drama? How is it serving you? If you allow yourself to be dragged through weeping, wailing, whining and resisting, then you will arrive at the other side drained, maybe even dead. At best you'll be deeply wounded and scarred with not much to show for it. Do you want to be one of those energy-draining people walking around complaining, bitter and full of judgement? It will eventually create disease and mental dysfunction in you. There is no power in that! Please...there are enough "stuck" wounded souls walking around, sucking others into their dramas and showing any who will listen their scars? BORING.

Walk straight into your fear. Find the courage to face it. Know that the powerful force of love is always there ready to create assist you and create balance. EVERYTHING in the universe acts to balance itself! When you feel that all is darkness and you are at the darkest night of your soul, CHOOSE to go back to LIGHT.
