The Healing Waters Of Thermopolis
A Soak And Session For The Soul
In 1896 a treaty was signed with the Shoshone and Arapaho, which gave the public use of one of the largest mineral hot springs in the world. Thermopolis Hot Springs was known as the "healing water." The Native Americans knew that the waters were beneficial to health. Chief Washakie of the Shoshone tribe and Chief Sharp Nose of the Arapaho tribe sold the hot springs to the United States with the provision that a portion should be forever reserved for the use and benefit of the public.
Thermopolis (Greek for "Hot City") derived its name from the hot water that comes from Big Spring. The beautiful turquoise and green mineral laden spring releases 3.6 million gallons of water per day at a temperature of 127 degrees. The water from this spring contains at least 27 different minerals, making it very healthful for a soak and even to drink.

The therapeutic benefits of Thermopolis' geothermal water are many. People continue to use the Hot Springs to find relief from pain, to detoxify their bodies and to melt away their stress. The alkaline water, high in calcium, magnesium, and potassium, assists the body by cleansing through the skin.

If you are coming to Thermopolis for a day or a few days of soaking, an ideal compliment to your healing visit would be one of the treatments offered at The HEALING ROOM. Schedule one before or after a soak. You will return home feeling completely renewed.
I would suggest incorporating a Reiki Hot Stone Therapy with an Ionic Foot Therapy if your goal is detoxification. If you have been undergoing emotional stress, opt for a Reiki Sound Healing Session as it will release energy blockages from body, mind and spirit. You may also schedule V.I.B.E. sessions during each day of your visit and combine the sessions with any other therapy.
PLEASE SCHEDULE YOU HEALING ROOM SESSIONS IN ADVANCE. THANK YOU.
